Duality Results for Extended Multifacility Location Problems

چکیده
Duality statements are presented for multifacility location problems as suggested by Drezner (1991), where for each given point the sum of weighted distances to all facilities plus set-up costs is determined and the maximal value of these sums is to be minimized. We develop corresponding dual problems for the cases with and without set-up costs and present associated optimality conditions. In the concluding part of this note we use these optimality conditions for a geometrical characterization of the set of optimal solutions and consider for an illustration corresponding examples.

Multifacility Minimax Location Problems via Multi-Composed Optimization
We present a conjugate duality approach for multifacility minimax location problems with geometric constraints, where the underlying space is Fréchet and the distances are measured by gauges of closed convex sets. Besides assigning corresponding conjugate dual problems, we derive necessary and sufficient optimality conditions. Moreover, we introduce a further dual problem with less dual variabl...
متن کاملSolution of Backup Multifacility Location Problem by Considering the Ideal Radius for each Customer
In this paper we introduce a new facility location model, called backup multifacility location problem by considering the ideal radius for each customer. In this problem the location of clients are given in the plane. A radius is assigned to each client. We should find the location of new facilities, which some of them may fail with a given probability, such that the sum of weighted distances f...
متن کاملSufficiency and Duality in Minimax Fractional Programming with Generalized (φ, Ρ)-invexity
Amongst various important applications, one important application of nonlinear programming is to maximize or minimize the ratio of two functions, commonly called fractional programming. The characteristics of fractional programming problems have been investigated widely [1, 6, 10] and [13]. In noneconomic situations, fractional programming problems arisen in information theory, stochastic progr...
متن کاملExponential membership function and duality gaps for I-fuzzy linear programming problems
Fuzziness is ever presented in real life decision making problems. In this paper, we adapt the pessimistic approach tostudy a pair of linear primal-dual problem under intuitionistic fuzzy (I-fuzzy) environment and prove certain dualityresults. We generate the duality results using exponential membership and non-membership functions to represent thedecision maker’s satisfaction and dissatisfacti...
متن کاملWEAK AND STRONG DUALITY THEOREMS FOR FUZZY CONIC OPTIMIZATION PROBLEMS
The objective of this paper is to deal with the fuzzy conic program- ming problems. The aim here is to derive weak and strong duality theorems for a general fuzzy conic programming. Toward this end, The convexity-like concept of fuzzy mappings is introduced and then a speci c ordering cone is established based on the parameterized representation of fuzzy numbers. Un- der this setting, duality t...
